Israel begins the systematic dismantling of Iran's nuclear program (and air defenses), while Donald Trump scores a stunning victory in the trade war with China. I tell you what, where and why in this conversation with the great Frank Gaffney.
🚨 BREAKING NEWS on Israel-Iran:
Since this conversation, Israel has established air dominance over Iran, while Iran’s counterattacks have proved mostly futile. If there’s ever been a case for NOT buying Russian defense equipment, you’re watching it in real time.
But we have breaking news, courtesy of The Epoch Times:
President Donald Trump hinted at direct U.S. involvement in the Israel–Iran war, called for the Iranian regime’s “unconditional surrender,” and threatened the life of Iran’s supreme leader.
In a series of messages on social media, Trump said “we now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran,” called for Iran’s “unconditional surrender,” and stated that the United States knows “exactly where” Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is hiding—calling him an “easy target” but saying he would not be killed “at least not for now.”
“We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran. Iran had good sky trackers and other defensive equipment, and plenty of it, but it doesn’t compare to American made, conceived, and manufactured ’stuff.' Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA,” Trump wrote in one of the posts.
In a follow-up message, Trump said that they knew the exact location of Iran’s Supreme Leader and that eliminating him would be easy.
“We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there,” Trump wrote. “We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin.”
A third message called for Iran’s unconditional surrender.
A request for clarification sent to the White House on whether Trump’s posts reflect direct U.S. military involvement in Iranian airspace—and imply possible escalation—was not immediately returned. In response to an inquiry, the Pentagon deferred to the White House.
PREDICTION: The President will either get an agreement with Iran that dismantles its nuclear weapons program once and for all, OR the President will find an excuse to destroy the enrichment facilities at Natanz and Fordow.
The latter option is more than Israel can manage. Trump is not going to let them survive.
So the question is, will the Ayatollah act in time? Because at this point, the result is foreordained.
Will there be an invasion? Of course not. Spec Ops? Maybe. But the conservatives screaming against this misunderstand Donald Trump. This is the man who destroyed ISIS in seven months. He’s a get-the-job-done-and-get-out kind of guy.
This is a job that must be done. The President knows it, or none of this would be happening. He just made that point crystal clear.
