Social justice influencers who exhort indiscriminate hospitality toward immigrants in the name of Christ's commandments to us, are at the same time prioritizing the safety of their own families and belongings through security firms, high walls, gates and guards. They are feeding their own first and very well, often from donations and funding directly or indirectly collected from those citizens who are victimized and defrauded by these invaders, squatters, and their sponsors. National sovereignty, through borders, language, and culture, is a Biblical construct since Babel, and as much the natural order for humans as beehives and wolf packs in nature. A conclusion to the inquiry of why mass immigration is preached and tolerated by our leadership, to the ultimate destruction of lawful order and social discipline, is that it must be of ungodly origin - a strategy begotten by the enemy of our Creator.
You are absolutely correct. Immigration is good. Hospitality is good. But God gives us limited resources and responsibilities specific to those He places in our care: wives, children, extended family, churches, communities, and so forth. He also makes flawlessly clear that we are finite and He is not, so that beyond a certain point the needs are too great for us and we must pray for His mercy and deliverance beyond what we can handle.
Or to put that another way, pretending I can take care of absolutely everyone is pretentious nonsense. It's putting ourselves in the place of God, something no one can sustain. It first harms those to whom we owe our primary responsibilities, and ends up harming the people we're trying to help instead.
We should be generous. We should also recognize that "he who does not provide for his own family has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."
But of course, the people advocating for such nonsense are largely statists, seeking to deify government and therefore themselves. So there's that.
Your spiritual perceptions show Godly wisdom. Slaint!
