I’m unsure where the church I attend stands on cultural and political issues. While I’ve heard preaching against homosexuality, cohabitation, sex outside of marriage, they tread very carefully and lightly around politics. For me, however, the politics could not be more clear. No Christian should vote for, let alone support, ANY Democrat for ANY office - local, state or national. On an individual morality scale with Satan as zero and Jesus as 10, I’d vote for a 2 Republican over a 9 Democrat-if that was my only choice.

You think your neck of the woods is bad try being a Catholic in America. We get exhortations to be modernist political liberals more concerned with this world than the next.

Not only are many Bishops weak and effeminate if not homosexuals and marxists the one who ARE bold are either canceled and made an example of.

Many of us serious Catholic disciples are aware we are very much on our own with zero support from them and often opposed.

I discovered this when I returned to the Church in ‘96 after a stint of Evangelicalism. The first two Priests I went to blatantly contradicted Church teachings on very basic moral questions that are Catholic 101 stuff I knew in junior high.
