I never knew that Texas was just one of multiple Mexican provinces that were in revolt against Santa Ana!

A tremendous segment with Frank Gaffney on Securing America with Dr. Martin! Dr. Martin absolutely shined in every second of this segment from start to finish! The opening discussion on the geopolitical implications of the Texas War of Independence was terrific! The Texas Revolution is something we rightly celebrate today. But I don’t think we fully grasp its broader implications. General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna was a power hungry dictator who sought to become the Charlemagne of the Americas and rule over the Western territories as well as New Orleans, the Caribbean and South America. Had the Texans not succeeded in routing the Mexicans, the United States would’ve become a pathetic little fifth rate power and a massive Mexican Empire stretching from Baton Rouge to Bogota would’ve been built. The history of the world would look VERY different! We owe a massive debt of gratitude to those heroes in Texas and Mexico itself who fought Santa Anna’s tyranny. Don’t forget the Rio Grande and Yucatán region declared independence from Mexico alongside Texas.

In Texas, I’m glad to hear the vote against Sharia Law passed. As a social liberal, I oppose any ideology that imposes one groups way of life on another. Sharia is an evil and malignant ideology. I assure you, people in Galveston, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Corpus Christi, Waco, Aurora, Paris, and Amarillo don’t want to live under Sharia Law. I assure you Texans don’t want honor killings, execution of rape victims, dowries, child marriage, female genital mutilation, animal sacrifices, Islamic morality police, or bans on alcohol in their state! I’m pretty sure all Texans, left, right and center can agree on that. I can only imagine what if Sam Houston, Stephen F. Austin, Juan Seguin, Frank Hamer, Ma Ferguson, Bessie Coleman, Carol Burnett, Lyndon B. Johnson, Edgar Mitchell, John Connolly, Gene Roddenberry, Barbara Jordan, George Foreman, Selena, and George H.W. Bush were alive today and saw Sharia ruling over the Lone Star State! Davy Crockett, Jim Bowie and William Barrett Travis would be rolling over in their graves!

That same Sharia Law an extreme interpretation of Shi’ia Islam is what the Ayatollahs of Iran believe in and the very ideology that has wrought havoc all over the Middle East. Am I concerned about the skyrocketing price of oil? Yes. Am I worried about about wider war possibly breaking out? Yes. But I believe nonetheless, that Operation Epic Fury and Operation Roaring Lion were the right thing to do and I support the limited American and Israeli strikes on Iran. Iran decimated Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, and Gaza, fund Islamist terrorists all over the world, have a brutal gender apartheid, oppresses racial, religious and ethnic minorities, does mass executions, murders LGBTQ+ people, and is a key ally of Russia and China. That is why the Islamic Republic has got to go!

Is Donald Trump a peacemaker? Yes, without question. He’s already negotiating eight peace treaties. He’s also trying to broker a deal between Russia and Ukraine right now. But he’s also a great liberator too! He arrested Nicolas Maduro and his wife and freed the people of Venezuela and took it the Islamic Republic. He destroyed their nuclear facilities and killed the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. With both these actions, he’s also boxing in China and pushing Russia to end the war in Ukraine all at once! It’s a brilliant strategy! China has not come to Iran’s aid as expected. I don’t think they really care about them all that much to be honest. The Russians are bogged down in Ukraine and can’t help them either. Venezuela now works with the U.S. Nor can China get illegal shadow oil from these countries anymore, which is 40-50% of the oil they use.

As to Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel is on the verge of being toppled and the Cuban Communist government is gradually dying. Without their shadow oil trade what hope do they have? Cuba is about to be free once and for all and it’s going to be glorious! I also think it’s important to understand just how brutal Fidel Castro’s regime was. His predecessor Fulgencio Batista was a thug no doubt. But Batista at least allowed a greater degree of freedom for the Cuban people than Castro did. Batista was also a somewhat sympathizer figure because despite being the nation’s President, he was forbidden from joining the exclusive Havana Yacht Club because he was half-black. He also did much to help Afro-Cubans when he was in power. Cuba pre-revolution wasn’t perfect, but it was a good place to live. It was a first-world country with better living standards than much of Europe with Spanish emigrants were lined up around the block to get into. Westerners including Hollywood celebrities took their vacations there and Western businesses thrived in Cuba. By the way, it’s a myth the Mob ran Cuba. Yes, the Mafia had a presence in Cuba, but it’s been exaggerated.

After Castro took over, Cuba deteriorated into a third world s***hole that not even impoverished Haitian migrants wanted anything to do with and that had some of the highest abortion and suicide rates in the world. Castro was in case you didn’t know, a racist and a sexist who locked up mostly blacks and mulattos in his gulags as well as some of the longest suffering female political prisoners in history. 90% of the country’s Jewish community was driven out by Castro and the Revolution, which is more Jews leaving than fled Russia under Tsar Nicholas II. Castro deeply admired Adolf Hitler and patterned his “History Will Absolve Me” speech after him. He was unapologetic supporter of international terrorism. He locked up more people than Hitler and Stalin did in their first three years in power. His firing squads executed thousands of Cubans. Not mention he and his brothers controlled the drug trade on the island and it was Cuban intelligence that helped Pablo Escobar stay one step ahead of the authorities. That’s right, Castro helped the infamous drug lord evade the authorities and kept the murderous Medellin Cartel up and running
