Communism and Socialism are based on jealousy and coveting what someone else has. That is blatantly against the Ten Commandments that God sent to Moses on Mount Sinai. The Ten Commandments also state you will worship no other God before Him. Under both these ideologies one worships the state. All is subordinate to the will of the state. That is totally antithetical to Christian doctrine. Collectivizing land or nationalizing industries is also anti-Christian. The Ten Commandments clearly state “Thou shall not steal.” Both of those things are most definitely stealing! The Pharaoh taxed Egyptians at ridiculously high rates. Communism and socialism also tax you at ridiculously high rates. Again, this is not Christian at all. We need tax reform in this country. We need also to cut taxes for the lower and middle classes as well as for businesses. We also need to have way fewer taxes in general. Stealing people’s hard earned income? That’s not in line with God’s word at all.
Capitalism rewards merit and hard work and creates upward mobility. Every successful society ever has had the latter. Capitalism is the way God helps each person figure out where they belong in human society. It is also how he rewards those who’ve worked hard and earned the right to be successful. Sometimes someone is poor because they deserve to be, it’s just a fact. This is NOT to say all people who are poor are poor because they deserve to be. But some people are bums, make bad choices, do drugs and drink their lives away, don’t want to work, didn’t take advantage of available opportunities, dropped out of school, got into a life of crime, or hung out with the wrong people, poverty is their punishment and their lot in life. Capitalism is how God rewards good people and in some cases is how God punishes bad people.
Capitalism has lifted hundreds of millions of people around the world out of poverty, is a check on racism, is good for the environment, improves the quality of goods and services, creates opportunity for aspiring inventors and entrepreneurs, and is essential for a free society! You will not find one successful communist or socialist country on this Earth. But you will find a ton of Capitalist countries that are wildly successful. Let’s look at some communist and socialist countries shall we? Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, Communist China, North Korea, North Vietnam, Cuba, Poland, Hungary, Romania, East Germany, Albania, Ethiopia, Angola, Ba’athist Iraq, Nasserite Egypt, Czechoslovakia, Cambodia, and Laos. What’s that? Those countries were a total disaster and saw some of the worst atrocities in human history you say? Now let’s look at capitalist nations: the United States, Great Britain, France, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, West Germany, Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Scandinavia, Belgium, The Netherlands, and Switzerland. Huh…they seem to all be very successful and highly desirable places to live where democracy and human rights are vibrant and flourishing.
Communism and socialism are instruments of the Devil! Period. End of story. Capitalism is an instrument of God because it allows those with talent and merit to rise, the best ideas for the betterment and prosperity of humanity to flourish and brings to our society untold riches and high living standards for us and our children all of which are gifts from God. It is also a sort of proverbial Jacob’s Ladder if you will that God provides the poor to climb out of poverty and become Middle Class. Communism and socialism provide no incentive to work hard and assumes the world is perfect when it is far from it, so naturally it falls apart because it is contrary to God’s will and doesn’t recognize the infinite complexity of his creation.
