“In the fullness of time…” meant a great deal more than a date on the calendar. God was preparing a physical and philosophical geography into which he could place His Son and communicate His great love. The Gospel is more radical than we can fully comprehend.
John 3:16 as we all know say’s “for God so loved the world that whoever BELIEVES in him should not perish but have everlasting life, for God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world but that the world thru him might be saved!”
if you believe what must you do?
In Matthew 28:18 Jesus spoke to them saying: All authority has been given to me I heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe ALL things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always even to the end of the age. Amen.
What did Paul Tell the church in Rome? Romans 6: 3-7 or do you not know as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? Therefore we were buried with him through baptism into death, That just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been United together in the likeness of his death certainly we also shall be in the likeness of his resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him! That the body of sin might be done away with, that we should we should no longer be slaves to sin!
Now think about the day of Pentecost when Jesus told his desciples to go therefore and wait for the gift of the Holy Spirit to come upon them, remember? they all spoke in languages that all the people understand that came from all over the world and heard these plain fellows speaking in their own languages, a miracle? YES! Then Peter standing before all these men telling them that God has made this Jesus who YOU crucified, both Lord and God! Now remember Jesus has died and risen, these people are under the same New Testament gospel that you and I are under and this is the day Christ established his Church. How did these people respond? When they heard this they were CUT TO THE HEART!! And said to Peter and the apostles WHAT SHALL WE DO? And good ole Peter told them exactly what they should do, just listen:
REPENT and be BAPTIZED in the name of Jesus Christ for the REMISSION of SINS and you shall recieve the gift of the Holy Spirit! Now who did Peter tell them it was for?? Acts 2:39, for the promise is to you and to your Children and to ALL who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call. And those who gladly received his word were baptized and that day about 3000 souls were added to them, skip on down to verse 47 and the Lord ADDED to the CHURCH daily those who were being saved!
You receive the gift of Christ by being believing that Christ is the son of God and repenting of your sins and being baptized into the death, burial and resurrection of our savior Jesus Christ, Born again thru water and then changing! Start living and walking with Christ, he will help you!
Whose Church is it? It’s Christ Church and we make up the body, its members are the body of Christ . Read the book of Ephesians, short read but says a lot. Listen friends, we all love our parents and think they couldnt have possibly been wrong about some things but remember what Christ said: Matthew 10: 34-39 “ Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword, for I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother and a daughter in law against her mother in law;and a man’s enemies will those of his own household. (Now what could Christ possibly have meant by this) continued verse 37, He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me and he who does not take up his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me. He who finds his life will lose it and he who loses his life for my sake WILL find it.
CHOOSE WISELY my friends. Christ loves us and died for every one of us! But we must obey his commands and walk with him. Remember Christ words in Matthew 7:13 Enter by the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction and there are many who go in by it.
Start studing Gods word and if you believe what you read find a Bible study church that follows what God commands us to do! Believe and be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins and began your walk with Christ and be added to the church, his body. Lots to learn in Gods word but he says (2 Timothy 2:15) study to show yourself approved a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
I’ve been studing for years and still learning but I truly love reading the word of our maker. This life is just a test and we are passing thru it. We will either pass or fail. We have been given a choice of where you will spend eternity, read and study choose for yourself what the Lord tells us to do and jump in! I’m so glad I did before it was too late!
Roman adoption adds so much weight to what Paul was saying. It wasn't a tentative arrangement that could be undone, it was irrevocable sonship with full inheritance. No wonder Paul leaned on it. Appreciate the depth here.
Thank you. I had been teaching this for years and decided I actually needed to write it down. Scottish law professor Francis Lyall (who also wrote the leading treatise on space law!) has done some wonderful work on this. But your point is spot-on. Every word of the Word is deliberate and pregnant with meaning. The more you read it, the more you see.

Beautiful article…this impacted me profoundly!
I'm so glad!
