When Eisenhower Did It, They Called Him a Hero: Why Trump Should Deploy the Guard

If Eisenhower can deploy the National Guard to protect just nine students, it is obviously reasonable for Trump to send them to protect millions.

NOTE: Having grown up in Arkansas, my entire young school life was filled with glorious retellings of the desegregation of Little Rock Central High. My teachers (some liberal, some conservative) unendingly told us of how (Democrat) Gov. Orval Faubus had deployed the National Guard to prevent nine black students from entering the school, whereupon (Republican) President Dwight Eisenhower (somehow they never mentioned the party affiliations) federalized the Guard and also deployed the active duty 101st Airborne Division to escort the students in. We may have learned more about Central High than the Civil War or the founding of the country. We certainly heard about it more often.
