Add in the cost of Israel taking us into armed conflicts. How much have we spent so far with the war in Iran? Not to mention 23 Americans dead.
I get that the world is not a perfect place and we need to defend ourselves militarily, but lets also defend ourselves from Israeli influence as well. They're a foreign country with interests that conflict with a large percentage of the American populace, do you want republicans to win or not? Because the Israelis pay to play with the democrats too, they play both sides of the political aisle.
The Israelis are interested in getting a return for their lobbying efforts not American well being.
Now add in the cost of having to fight these fights without Israel or Israeli tech or Israeli HUMINT assets, and add in the number of Israeli lives lost in achieving our objectives.
And yes, Israel is interested in getting a return on its half of the bargain. You say that like it's immoral for anyone to expect anything in return for what they do.
Its not immoral for them, but you portray support for Israel as if it helps the republican party in a unique way, it doesn't.
Do you honestly believe that support for Israel and the war in Iran is a boost for republicans in the upcoming mid-terms?
Smart people prioritize, I humbly suggest that the war Iran and dogged support for Israel has and will undermine Trump's further policy goals. Trump prioritized the wrong things and isn't listening to his base.

Aid to any country as well. But its a political talking point.
