Rod D. Martin and Stefania Cox go in-depth on this weekend's hostilities, growing divisions in Tehran, implication of the Lebanese peace deal, and how the global economic order is being reshaped.
Donald Trump is using this delay in the war to train Reza Pahlavi's Immortal Guard and to stir up and play on the factionalism among the Ayatollahs of Iran. At this point, it's just the waiting game. Iran is running out of steam and has very little left in the tank. It's only a matter of time before they get worn out and surrender. Furthermore, the people of Iran will rise up when the time is right and topple the IRGC and the Mullahs. Trump is well aware that Iran won't honor the ceasefire. But he wants to bide his time to make sure the Iranian resistance is good and prepared for when the day comes that they go into action against the Islamic Republic and to undermine the Iranian government from within. If the regime is toppled and Iran becomes a free democracy and it switches out socialism for capitalism, it will be the greatest investment opportunity of the 2030s. Iran will become a prosperous first world country if it becomes a democracy. Secretary of State Marco Rubio negotiating the Israeli-Lebanese Peace Accords is yet another feather in his cap. It’s an earthquake of a deal because it stipulates that Lebanon will recognize Israel officially, Iran will be booted out of Lebanon and Lebanon will boot out Hezbollah. This means Lebanon will have internal peace for the first time since the 1970s. For 50 years they’ve been at constant war, now that’s about to change. Southern Israel now will also be for the first since 2000, free of missile fire from Northern Lebanon. The price of oil is gradually falling. The war didn’t have the devastating effect on oil prices in the long run everybody feared it would. The Strait of Hormuz will soon be irrelevant. The UAE is working offering an alternate route for the transportation of oil. When they are fully up and running that’s bad news for Iran. It should also be noted that the Gulf of America has become the place to buy oil rather than the Persian Gulf. It’s better for countries to buy their oil from Louisiana than OPEC.
