Good afternoon, sir. I have a question and I’m not sure if I understand it correctly. Regarding mining the strait, I think I’ve read that Iran is letting some non-Israeli or non-US ships pass through and if that’s correct, then there is a path through the where there are no mines. Please help me understand my confusion.
I believe their current position is that everyone can use the Strait except the U.S. and Israel. But that's not actually true, because once they deploy a mine they can't control what it hits, and so in addition to the obvious, insurance remains a problem.
This is an easy enough problem to fix at the rate we're taking out Iran's ability to deploy or produce new mines, but it will take a little time.
President Trump’s threats to open the Straights of Hormuz will push Iran to negotiate a deal to open them. They are running out mines and can’t produce any new ones. Their navy was turned into roadkill. The United States and Israel have established clear supremacy in the skies. Their ballistic missile program is on its last legs. The Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is six feet under. Victory looks like it will soon be at hand. The price of oil is down to a degree thanks to President Trump releasing all that oil from our reserves and NATO countries have released their reserve oil as well. Prices will drop even lower after the Straights are reopened thus opening back up 20% of the oil market and once the war is over even more will be available.
We also have temporarily deregulated Russian oil which is good for the West and gives Russia a taste of all the money they could make if they made peace in Ukraine and with the United States. China is in BIG trouble! They are have lost all the sanctioned oil they get from Russia and Venezuela and most they get from Iran. Their collapse is coming the Chinese economy is headed for a recession, they have a tumbling birth rate and an aging population, their real estate market has built more houses than they have people and is about to go bust, Trump is chasing them out of the Western Hemisphere, and he got rid of their buddy Maduro in Venezuela. If regime change does happen, Iranian oil can flow freely on the international market which will be hugely beneficial for the western world and Iran itself who can get back on their feet. If regime change doesn’t happen, Iran will at the very least be significantly weakened and diminished by the war. The United States and Israel will have diminished the biggest threat to peace in the region.
