Republicans and Democrats saw very different speeches last night. Here, Rod debates whether Trump won the night and whether Republicans will win the midterms.
I think Dr. Martin held his own in the debate on NTD News. You did an excellent job making the conservative argument on each issue. President Trump did an unbelievable job on the 2026 State of the Union Address! He honored a 100-year-old Korean War veteran, a hero who saved 165 people, a World War II veteran, surprised a lady with a freed relative who the administration rescued from Venezuela who'd been kidnapped by Maduro, Sage Blair, a victim of gender ideology, and the gold medal winning USA Men's Hockey Team among others. He laid out all his many accomplishments in the longest State of the Union Address in American history. President Trump has done so much good for America in a little over a year. Just to name a few: the Big Beautiful Bill Act, closing the Southern Border, deported 2.2 million illegal immigrants, the Laken Riley Act, giving women easier access to IVF, made numerous impressive trade deals, started peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, captured Nicolas Maduro, bombed Iran's nuclear facilities, stood by Israel, started the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation to feed the people of Gaza, negotiated eight peace treaties, revived and modernized the Monroe Doctrine, revived space exploration, blocked the sale of the Chagos Islands, got the negotiations for Greenland started, saved fifty billion dollars with the DOGE, established the MAHA Initiative, reformed the U.S. Military, banned DEI, gender-affirming care for minors and Transgender people competing in women's sports, appointed an excellent cabinet, put Robert E. Lee's portrait back up at West Point, restored Mount McKinley's rightful name, made Columbus Day a national holiday, the review of American history museums, sent the national guard into the cities to fight crime, and pardoned the January 6th protesters.
I think the Republicans will dominate in the midterms this November. The Democrats once again embarrassed themselves by acting like children at the State of the Union Address. At least this time they stood up and applauded a couple times. Al Green caused a scene and got ejected from the chambers yet again. President Trump praised the Third Great Awakening quietly going on in this country. Gen Z in particular are at the forefront of the re-Christianization of America. The rebirth of religion in America is a development that the Apostle Paul, Saint Peter, Martin Luther, John Hus, John Calvin, Ulrich Zwingli, John Wesley, Jonathan Edwards, George Whitefield, Lyman Beecher, Billy Graham, and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. would've been overjoyed by! Church attendance is gradually on the rise in the West! Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger's rebuttal to the SOTUA was lame and full of platitudes, Trump bashing, appeals to emotion, and ad hominins and there no substantiative discussion of policy. The Minneapolis Somali Fraud Scandal is a very serious matter. Millions of dollars were embezzled by fake daycares. This money was supposed to go to autistic children but instead it went to scammers just looking to get rich. Minneapolis is also the number one supporter of Al-Shabaab, Somalia's version of Al-Qaeda. Coming off America's fantastic performance in the Milan Winter Olympics, this was a perfect way to bring us into the homestretch of the weekend! I have my critiques of some of President Trump's policies, and I did agree with some of what Lee Neves had to say. Nonetheless, I believe President Trump has done a bang-up job overall and has gotten America back on the right track. I don't regret voting for him at all in 2024. For the first time in a while I feel hopeful for America's future with President Trump in office! Just as Ronald Reagan came and restored America in the 1980s, Donald Trump has come in and restored America in the 2020s.
