There is this idea that Isoroku Yamamoto really didn't want War with America. I have read recently (sorry no link :-( ) He threatened to resign if he attack did not happen.
"The America First Movement had lost all credibility now."
We're at war, not with weapons, but with ideas. Bill Whittle draws three examples from the history of warfare to map a strategy for success of Conservatives against the societal devastation of Progressivism
"The simple act of dismantling the apparatus would not eliminate what we are afraid of. Denial of reality is not a strategy."
And I am seeing this going on today. Both The Progressives & Isolationists want to dismantle the apparatus (often for very different reasons, but dismantling is the goal).
In 1992. The Warsaw Pact collapsed, and The World Changed. The institutions (both national & international) didn't. Maybe now is the time to redesign (if that's the right word) these institutions, NOT dismantle them. Institutions like The WHO, ICC, UN have to be told they don't have anywhere near The Power they think they do. I would say The Same to certain Governors/Mayors/Federal Agencies.
