This Thanksgiving, we especially are thankful for RFK Jr & Pres Trump. My husband has COPD (Valley Fever caused) and has been on inhalers for 4 yrs. Spireva Resp at the local Pharmacy was $550/month + $500 deductible. He was able to buy the drug from a Canadian Pharmacy for $112 for 2 months + shipping. He is just now able to buy it locally for $70 for 2months ! That’s how bad the Big Pharma’s have been ripping off Americans!! Wait till they are done investigating the rest of our healthcare system.

Brilliant ideas! Loser pays for malpractice lawsuits is the best of all! Right now the only people winning are the lawyers.

Ok, but why haven’t Republicans done this?? I’ll tell you why: It’s because they’re as beholden to the corrupt Medical-Industrial Complex as the Leftists (aka “Democrats”)!!

Well, let's see.

1. Obama was President from 2008-2016, during which time he passed Obamacare (during the period he had a 60-seat Senate majority) and opposed any effort to repeal.

2. Republicans recaptured the House in 2010, and held it till 2018. They lost it in 2018 and did not regain it until 2022.

3. Democrats controlled the Senate until 2014, after which Republicans lost it in 2021.

4. So during all of that time, the only time in which Republicans could have passed Obamacare repeal and had a President who was willing to sign it was 2017-2018. And during that time, Trump attempted to do so not once but THREE TIMES.

5. How did those efforts fail? Because of betrayals by three specific Republican Senators: John McCain, Susan Collins, and Lisa Murkowski. If you can call any of those people "Republicans".

So it is wrong to claim "the Republicans" anything. The Republicans other than these three voted correctly each and every time they had a chance to actually repeal Obamacare. And Trump spearheaded the effort personally.

So now we're on to the next round.

I’ve yet to see a coherent Republican PROPOSAL, whether passed or not. The current HSA “solution” is a last minute stunt without much thought. I hope I’m wrong, but once rates skyrocket next year it will be one more thing that will come to bite Republican’s butt come the midterms.
