Trump Deploys National Guard to Quell Democrats' Insurrection
As Democrats launch their latest wave of violence and rioting, this time to obstruct and injure Federal agents trying to arrest illegal aliens, one wonders if there's any crime they won't commit.

NOTE: At the same time Democrat L.A. Mayor Karen Bass was doing everything possible to encourage violence and rioting in her streets — to obstruct Federal agents from detaining illegal aliens — Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom announced his intention to lead his state in federal tax evasion: criminally withholding $80 billion in federal tax. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent was quick to point out that anyone involved, including the governor, would face individual criminal liability and prison time if he saw his plan through.
One simply marvels. Is there any crime Democrats won’t commit? When they got angry at Elon Musk they firebombed Teslas. For months in 2020 they burned down cities in what CNN called “mostly peaceful protests”; they also unconstitutionally shuttered churches (“superspreader events”) while endorsing mobs of people gathering together in the streets (and casinos, and strip clubs, etc.). In 1992 they convulsed this same Los Angeles in murderous strife. In the 1970s they engaged in an average of 500 terror bombings in the U.S. per year. In 1968 they rioted at the Democrat National Convention and burned down cities across America. In the decades prior, they raped pro-integrationist women, burned the barns of “uppity negroes”, and lynched 4,000 black and white Republicans. In 1861, they seceded from the Union, attacked a federal fort, and convulsed the nation in Civil War.
California is starting to have that 1861 feel.
No one likes not getting their way. But like Socialist parties around the world, when Democrats don’t get their way, they have a long history of killing people. We’re about to find out how they react to a Donald Trump who’s learned all too well the lessons of 2020. — RDM
Trump Deploys National Guard to Quell Democrats’ Insurrection
by Joseph Klein
June 9, 2025
On June 6th, violent rioters in Los Angeles took to the streets with the unlawful intent of obstructing ICE agents from doing their job of enforcing U.S. immigration laws. The riots took place as ICE agents were duly executing federal search warrants at various locations in Los Angeles to find and apprehend illegal aliens. The agents focused on the worst of the worst criminal aliens and those illegal aliens with final deportation orders hiding in the shadows.
Rioters set cars on fire and threw rocks at immigration law enforcement officers, threatening their lives and causing physical injury. Rioters left messages such as “KILL ICE.” The violence escalated on June 7th, the second day of the riots, which prompted President Donald Trump to deploy the National Guard to protect federal law enforcement agents from the mob attacks.
For example, Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin posted on X that
“@FoxNews has obtained intense video showing @CBP [Customs and Border Protection] agents’ perspective inside their vehicle as it is pelted with rocks while they attempt to leave the anti-ICE protest in Paramount, CA today. You can hear & see the windows & windshield breaking w/ each hit. Federal source who sent me this video tells this attack could have killed one of the Border Patrol agents or caused a serious crash. The rocks broke clean through the windshield, leaving a gaping hole.”
Los Angeles Democrat Mayor Karen Bass’s first reaction to the riots when they began on June 6th was appalling. “This morning, we received reports of federal immigration enforcement actions in multiple locations in Los Angeles,” Mayor Bass said. “As Mayor of a proud city of immigrants, who contribute to our city in so many ways, I am deeply angered by what has taken place. These tactics sow terror in our communities and disrupt basic principles of safety in our city. My Office is in close coordination with immigrant rights community organizations. We will not stand for this.”
Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom’s office issued a similar statement. “Continued chaotic federal sweeps, across California, to meet an arbitrary arrest quota are as reckless as they are cruel,” the statement declared. “Donald Trump’s chaos is eroding trust, tearing families apart, and undermining the workers and industries that power America’s economy.”

Mayor Bass and Governor Newsom, like other Democrats who support sanctuaries shielding illegal aliens, not only refuse to distinguish between illegal aliens and legal immigrants. They refuse to acknowledge the fact that former President Joe Biden opened the floodgates to criminally violent illegal aliens who are menacing Americans.
President Trump is trying to rid the country of these villains who murder, rape, torture, and rob their victims. Instead of thanking the president for taking these dangerous criminals off the streets, Bass and Newsom were willing to stand back while violent rioters attack federal law enforcement officers who are duly executing federal search warrants.
Los Angeles Police Department Chief Jim McDonnell initially took a hands-off approach to the rioting. He stated that “While the LAPD will continue to have a visible presence in all our communities to ensure public safety, we will not assist or participate in any sort of mass deportations, nor will the LAPD try to determine an individual’s immigration status.”
Nobody asked the LAPD to assist or participate in deportations. But being present and not doing anything to quell violent riots and maintain public safety is a dereliction of duty. The police finally took some action, hours after the violence had taken its toll.
“For the far left rioters, some helpful advice: peaceful protest is good. Rioting and obstructing justice is not,” Vice President JD Vance posted on X.
As for President Trump, he had enough of the anarchy in the Los Angeles streets, which put federal law enforcement officers and the public in serious danger. He decided to federalize the National Guard and send 2000 National Guard members to Los Angeles to restore law and order. They began arriving in Los Angeles on Sunday morning and taking their positions to protect federal law enforcement agents and federal property.
The White House issued the following statement explaining why the president took this action:
“In recent days, violent mobs have attacked ICE Officers and Federal Law Enforcement Agents carrying out basic deportation operations in Los Angeles, California. These operations are essential to halting and reversing the invasion of illegal criminals into the United States. In the wake of this violence, California’s feckless Democrat leaders have completely abdicated their responsibility to protect their citizens. That is why President Trump has signed a Presidential Memorandum deploying 2,000 National Guardsmen to address the lawlessness that has been allowed to fester. The Trump Administration has a zero-tolerance policy for criminal behavior and violence, especially when that violence is aimed at law enforcement officers trying to do their jobs. These criminals will be arrested and swiftly brought to justice. The Commander-in-Chief will ensure the laws of the United States are executed fully and completely.”
Predictably, Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom and Mayor Bass strenuously objected. Governor Newsom claimed that the deployment of National Guard troops is “purposefully inflammatory” and will “only escalate tensions.” Bass shamelessly asserted, despite all the evidence to the contrary, that Los Angeles was “well equipped to handle” any violence. She added that “2,000 officers, 2,000 in our city will not be a positive thing and will not be helpful.”
Tom Homan, President Trump’s border czar, scoffed at these criticisms of the president’s action. “President Trump is deploying the National Guard because they’re going to support our law enforcement efforts here that will help protect public safety,” Mr. Homan told NBC News. “Help us take these criminals off the street. Stop applauding the protesters and support law enforcement. Gov. Newsom should be on the phone thanking President Trump for making a state safer.”
On Sunday — the third day of unrest in Los Angeles — hundreds of agitators gathered to confront National Guard troops and federal law enforcement officials trying to protect ICE agents and a federal building. During the melee, rioters began throwing objects at the troops to which they responded with tear gas and pepper spray.
The rioters in Los Angeles attacking federal law enforcement officers, destroying federal property, and defacing federal facilities are engaged in domestic violence that is obstructing the execution of the laws of the United States. This is grounds for President Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act if he wishes to do so.
As of the writing of this article, however, President Trump was still weighing whether to treat the rioters as insurrectionists and send in active-duty military soldiers to reinforce the National Guardsmen. If he decides to do so, there is a precedent for active-duty military soldiers to be called into Los Angeles to put an end to a violent riot. Back in 1992, during the Rodney King riots, President George H.W. Bush sent 3,500 active-duty Army and Marines to back 10,000 federalized National Guardsmen, using his authority under the Insurrection Act.
Despite the howls from Democrats and pro-illegal immigration activists, President Trump should not hesitate to use all lawful measures at his disposal, including the Insurrection Act, to put an end to the riots impeding federal immigration law enforcement. Criminally violent illegal immigrants and illegal immigrants with final deportation orders deserve only a one-way ticket to their home countries or whichever countries will take them.

Certainly the rioters need to be prosecuted. But what about the persons behind it all, the ones who fund these professional agitators? They're just as guilty, if not more so, than the ones actually doing the rioting.
It would take a bit of detective work to identify them, but should be worth the effort.
