The Second Amendment, Mass Shootings and Other Atrocities

The largest atrocities have always been -- and only can be -- committed by governments.

19 kids at a school is a terrible, terrible thing.

You know what is more terrible? 

Millions of Jews murdered by their government.

Millions of Ukrainians murdered by their government.

Millions of Cambodians murdered by their government.

Tens of millions of Chinese murdered by their government.

Millions of Armenians murdered by their government.

800,000 Rwandans murdered with the complicity of their government. 

But let's not stop there. Thousands of lynchings in America, all with a wink and nod from our governments. The Trail of Tears in America, by direct order of our government. Concentration camps in America, by a freaking executive order, again, our government.

The largest atrocities have always been -- and only can be -- committed by governments.

I'll gladly eliminate our guns when our government gives up its guns. Not one day sooner.

And that's exactly why the Founding Fathers gave us the Second Amendment.
