Rioting is small-scale civil war, and large-scale terrorism, both targeting unarmed innocent victims. And it's those innocents we should be concerned about. Like George Floyd, and like all the regular people in Minneapolis and elsewhere, of every color.

Looters and arsonists, if caught in the process of committing such acts, should be shot on sight.

But if we're not going to do that, we should at least round them up, indict them, and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.

It is a mistake to see the cop and the rioters as different.

Some have said George Floyd's killer's autopsy report exculpates him, and surely his lawyers will argue that in court. But I am every bit as impressed with that autopsy as I am by Jeffrey Epstein's, and for the same reason.

A cop is well enough trained to know what prolonged kneeling on someone's neck is likely to do. So even if he didn't kill George Floyd, he meant to. And voila: the guy's dead. Go figure.
